• Player List Data: Custom player names and associated colors you save for quick access
• Games Collection Data: Game titles, ratings, and notes you add to your collection

How We Use Your Data

• Core Functionality: Your data is used solely to provide the scoring, player tracking, and game collection features you interact with directly
• No Analytics: We do not collect analytics, behavioral data, or usage patterns
• No Personalization: We do not use your data to create profiles or personalize content

We do not share your data with any third parties. Your game data, player information, and collection details never leave your device. We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal data to external companies, advertisers, analytics providers, or any other third parties.

The only exceptions are:

• Law Enforcement: If legally required by valid court order or law enforcement subpoena
• Platform Providers: Apple's App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android) for app distribution (no personal data is shared with Apple or Google for this app beyond app analytics they collect themselves)

App Security

• Code Integrity: The app is cryptographically signed (code-signed by Apple on iOS, signed on Android) to ensure it hasn't been modified
• Regular Updates: We provide security updates through the App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android)
• No Network Requests: The app functions 100% offline, eliminating network-based vulnerabilities
• Minimal Permissions: The app requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality

Device-Level Protection

Your data benefits from security features built into your device:

• iOS: Data is protected by iOS file-level encryption when your device is locked; the app operates with standard iOS sandbox restrictions
• Android: Data is protected by Android's file-based encryption; the app operates within Android's standard security sandbox
• Your device's passcode or biometric authentication protects access to all app data

4. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION POLICY

How Long We Keep Data

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over retention:

• Individual Games: You can delete specific games at any time from within the app
• Player Profiles: You can remove players from your saved players list whenever you choose
• Collection Entries: You can delete games from your collection at any time
• All Data: Uninstalling the app removes all game data from your device

How to Delete Your Data

• Delete Individual Games: Open any game and use the delete option in the app menu
• Delete Individual Players: Access your players list and delete any saved player
• Delete All App Data (iOS): Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Keeping Score > Offload or Delete App > Delete App
• Delete All App Data (Android): Settings > Apps > Keeping Score > Storage > Clear Data, or Uninstall the app

Data Backup Consideration

iOS: If you use iCloud Backup on your iOS device, your Keeping Score app data may be included in your iCloud backup. Game data will remain in iCloud backups according to your backup retention settings.

Android: If you use Google One Backup or Samsung Cloud (on Samsung devices), your Keeping Score app data may be included in these backups. Game data will remain in backups according to your backup retention settings.

If you want to ensure all traces are removed, you should delete the app data before deleting a backup, or delete the app before setting up a new device.

5. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Right to Access: Request information about what data we hold about you (in this case, none, as everything is local)
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of your data (you can delete it directly in the app or by uninstalling)
• Right to Correct: Update or correct inaccurate personal data (you can edit your data in the app directly)
• Right to Opt-Out: Opt-out of data collection (not applicable—we don't collect/transmit data beyond local storage)

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Keeping Score is designed for users of all ages on both iOS and Android. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally and we collect no personal information, we do not have the ability to track or identify children's information. Parents or guardians should supervise children's use of the app as with any app.

• Works entirely offline without external API calls for game functionality
